A complete switchgear (KRU) is an electrical installation that serves to receive and distribute an alternating three-phase electric current, and for sectioning overhead transmission lines.
Switchgears are used for completing switchgears of transformer substations at industrial and agricultural facilities, in the public power supply network.
The switchgear is made in a strong steel prefabricated welded case (cabinet). The KRU includes switching devices, vacuum circuit breakers, connecting busbars, power transformers. Relay protection built into the switchgear can be performed both on electromechanical relays and using microprocessor terminals.
By agreement with the customer, the switchgear can be supplemented with electric meters for electricity metering and control of its parameters.
Outdoor switchgears (KRUN) are distinguished by the fact that their outer casing is additionally equipped with seals that protect the electrical installation from precipitation and pollution.
