Shop-type substations are installed indoors. Scope of application - manufacturing enterprises, factories, plants, boiler rooms, etc. The use of workshop substations at facilities with high energy consumption helps to significantly reduce energy losses.
If production conditions permit, the workshop substation is located as close as possible to the equipment that it supplies. In cases where the technological process does not allow the installation of electrical distribution devices inside the workshop, substations are installed in an adjoining room.
